RADIANCE A.B. LODHA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

Open to all

J. Krishnamurti Study Center

A place to read Krishnamurti's work and to talk together about the questions he raised: how we perceive, how we live with one another, and the roots of the social and ecological crisis around us.

It is open to all, though most who come are adults. It is separate from the children's learning space.

Some questions persist

You have built a good life. A home, a family, a career. Responsibilities have been met. From the outside, things are in place. And yet, some questions persist.

  • Why am I irritated so often?
  • What am I defending?
  • Why am I competing with my friends?
  • What am I running after?
  • Why does none of this feel enough?

Most people do not stay with these questions. Life is too busy, and there is always the next thing to chase. This space is for those who cannot set them aside: adults willing to look at themselves honestly, without ready-made answers, and without being told what to think or do.

There is no preaching and no belief imposed. We read, reflect, speak honestly, and listen without rushing to defend, correct or persuade. No conclusions or solutions are offered. But sustained inquiry has its own clarity.

"Truth is a pathless land."

J. Krishnamurti, 1929. He meant that truth cannot be reached through any system, belief, guru or ideology. Each of us has to discover it directly.

Dialogue session

Every Sunday

5 to 7 pm

In English and Marathi

A session takes one of three forms.

  • Open dialogues and conversations. Participants sit down for unhurried, non-hierarchical conversations exploring human psychology, fear, relationships, education and the nature of thought, without a guru or leader.
  • Watching video and audio talks. We sometimes screen J. Krishnamurti's recorded public talks and discussions, followed by collective inquiry into the themes presented.
  • Text study. Participants read and reflect on Krishnamurti's books, transcripts and dialogues in a quiet, dedicated space, followed by collective inquiry into the readings.

You do not need to have read Krishnamurti before. Come with your questions.

Sessions are free and open to all.

The Study Center and the exhibition

The Study Center is at our old location on Gangapur Road, with Krishnamurti's books and recordings. Visitors can read, listen and stay a while.

The Study Center also holds a picture exhibition conceived and created by Vikram Parchure. It pairs excerpts from Krishnamurti's teachings, drawn from more than 60 years of public talks, with documentary photographs taken by journalists from around the world.

The exhibition is laid out as thematic panels, each with an explanatory fact sheet. It was first made in English and has since been translated into other languages, including Marathi.

The Study Center and the exhibition are open during the Sunday session, 5 to 7 pm.
