RADIANCE A.B. LODHA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

Admissions and fees

There are two joining dates in a year, in June and November. Admission is a conversation between your family and ours over 3 to 4 months. You get to know how we work, and we get to know your family. Both sides decide.

New admissions
Mainly children aged 2.5 to 3 years
We sometimes admit older children, after a detailed conversation with the parents and the child, and an observation.

How it works

  1. 1

    Come for an orientation tour

We hold a tour for parents every month. Every family begins here, before applying. To join a tour, write to us.

  2. 2

    Write to us

Parents write essays by hand, in English, Marathi or Hindi, about their own values and how they think about bringing up their child. After this, a reading is assigned to each parent.

  3. 3

    Talk with us

We meet parents for in-depth conversations. This is also your time to question us.

  4. 4

    Child observation

The last step is a session where we observe your child. We share our decision within two weeks of it. Together with you, we decide whether this is the right place for your child.

"During our first Radiance tour when Monali Didi showed different things and the process around it, she was very calm, composed in explaining and after it was done she made sure everything was properly kept at its designated place before moving on to the next item. This instance made me realise that our son will be in good hands."
Nikita and Jayesh Malpani, parents

Why it takes time

Learning is simplified when home and the learning space are aligned and move in the same direction. The process takes time so that both we and the parents can see, before a child joins, whether we can work together.

Fees

Fees are set on a sliding scale, according to each family's circumstances. Children from a range of economic backgrounds learn together, and we want to keep it that way. We discuss fees privately during the admission conversations.

Questions to bring to our conversation

  • How will you know if my child is struggling, and what will you do?
  • How do children learn to read and write here?
  • What happens if my child moves to a school later?
  • How do you handle conflict between children?
  • What do you expect from parents through the year?
  • What happens after the age of ten?
